The Israeli military said this week that four Hamas operatives were killed in a series of strikes across Gaza over three days, The Times of Israel reported. The IDF said a Thursday strike killed Mahmoud Khaled Mohammed Madhoun, whom it identified as a member of Hamas's Nukhba force involved in anti-tank missile attacks during the war.
Friday's strikes killed two more operatives, according to the military: Ubaida Suhail Hamad Murtaja, described as a Hamas sniper, and Adham Khalil Mohammed Marouf, whom the IDF said took part in the October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel. A separate strike in southern Gaza on Saturday killed a fourth operative, Abd al-Jawad Juda.
The military said all four had been "recently involved in advancing attacks on troops and Israeli civilians" and were working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, which it characterized as a "systematic violation of the ceasefire" currently in place. The announcement came on top of an earlier report that two additional Hamas operatives had also been killed in recent strikes, underscoring how, even under a nominal ceasefire, Israeli military operations against Hamas figures in Gaza have continued at a steady pace.
