Trump Gives Netanyahu 'Complete and Total' Endorsement Ahead of Oct. 27 Vote

US President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's reelection campaign, calling him a "Great Warrior Prime Minister" and granting what he described as a "complete and total endorsement" just over a week before Israelis go to the polls on October 27, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

In his remarks, Trump argued that replacing Netanyahu with another candidate would be the wrong choice for Israel and would leave the United States to face down Iran's regime without a reliable partner in Jerusalem. He framed Netanyahu's record under pressure as proof that he is the leader Washington needs in the region right now.

Netanyahu moved quickly to turn the endorsement into campaign material, posting a video that spliced together Trump's past praise with a pledge that the two leaders would finish the job of neutralizing the Iranian threat together. His campaign has leaned heavily on the message that this election is, at its core, about Israel's survival.

Coalition allies including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir welcomed the endorsement as a vindication of the governing right-wing bloc's approach. On the other side of the aisle, opposition figures Gadi Eisenkot and Naftali Bennett pushed back, insisting that it is Israeli voters, not foreign leaders, who should decide the country's next government. Eisenkot said he had separately asked international figures to stay out of Israel's electoral process entirely.
